Job Title: Quantitative Equities Portfolio Manager
Position Overview:
The Quantitative Systematic Equity Portfolio Manager develops and oversees data-driven, algorithmic equity strategies using statistical models, machine learning, and high-frequency signals to deliver scalable alpha with low correlation to traditional factors.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, back test, and deploy quantitative models for equity alpha generation, incorporating factors like momentum, value, quality, and alternative data sources.
Manage systematic portfolios across long/short equity, market-neutral, and statistical arbitrage setups, ensuring robust execution and capacity scaling.
Optimize portfolio risk through advanced techniques like factor neutralization, volatility targeting, and transaction cost modeling.
Enhance model performance via ongoing research, feature engineering, and regime detection using Python, R, or similar languages.
Monitor live trading performance, conduct stress tests, and automate rebalancing processes.
Lead a quant research team and present model insights to investment committees and investors.
Requirements:
Advanced degree (Master's/PhD) in Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Physics.
7+ years in systematic/quant equity trading or portfolio management at a hedge fund or prop trading firm.
Expertise in programming (Python, C++), machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, scikit-learn), and data platforms (AWS, Snowflake).
Proven track record in live quantitative strategies with strong risk management.
Experience with high-performance computing and alternative datasets (e.g., sentiment).
Ability to innovate models rapidly while maintaining rigorous statistical discipline.
