Job Title: Equities Research Analyst / Intern
Position Overview:
The Equities Research Analyst / Intern will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis to identify investment opportunities, support portfolio management, and maximize returns. This role requires strong quantitative skills, financial modeling experience, and the ability to communicate complex findings to portfolio managers and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Research & Analysis:
Conduct comprehensive research on equities (or other asset classes including but not limited to bonds, commodities, currencies, and alternative assets).
Analyze financial statements, industry reports, and macroeconomic trends to inform investment decisions.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast performance and assess valuation.
Investment Process:
Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through detailed due diligence, including meetings with company management and industry experts.
Prepare and present investment memos, research reports, and recommendations to portfolio managers and senior analysts.
Support portfolio construction and optimization by analyzing risk and return profiles.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Track the performance of existing investments, monitor relevant news and developments, and reassess positions as needed.
Generate and evaluate risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
Prepare investor presentations and regular performance reports.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other analysts to develop and refine investment ideas.
Attend industry conferences and company presentations to gather insights and stay informed on market trends.
Compliance & Administration:
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Manage proprietary databases and internal systems for research and reporting.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Humanities or related field (We welcome students from all disciplines)

Background in investments, financial analysis, and modeling is not a requirement.
Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly, both in writing and verbally.
High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the capacity to work long hours in a high-pressure environment.
